I am about to lay a vinyl floor in my kitchen.

The subfloor is half timber floorboards and half concrete. The floor is relatively level.

I intend to lay hardboard over the subfloor prior to fitting the vinyl, with a damp proof membrane over the concrete section.

I will secure the hardboard to the timber subfloor with screws.

How should I secure the hardboard to the concrete subfloor?
