I'm going to lay some Tobermore kerbstones and have found a pipe going through where they'll go and the pipe is almost exactly at the level where my stones will be laid. I'm wondering whether I can do what I've put in the picture with a lintel to support the cut blocks? Everything will be on 100mm concrete (not shown) with a 10mm bed.
I also have a plastic ACO drain in front of the kerbstones, but I think that will need to just span the gap and hope for the best as a 65mm lintel won't fit under it. Is this likely to work? Or is there a better way?
btw. this is a rear garden so there will never be any cars on it etc.
