Hi Iam preparing to lay a parquet floor in my hallway using reclaim Iroko parquet blocks and would like some advise. The problem i have is half the hall is concrete and half the original victorian floor boards all on the same level. Can i lay the blocks as it is or would i have to lay plywood on the whole of the hallway?(Not keen on this as it raises the floor even higher)

With any wooden floor you install you have to have ONE type of underfloor. So yes, plywood/chipboard on the whole lot
