Hi All

I'm planning on laying parquet flooring in my hallway. I was going to use new parquet so hopefully that will be easier to work with. My question is does parquet need an expansion gap around the edge, i was hoping not to need one and if the blocks are stuck to the sub floor I can't see they will be expanding much without breaking the adhesion to the floor?

Has anyone ever laid parquet flooring before, any tips of setting out the pattern etc?

Cheers

ALWAYS, ALWAYS leave a gap around the perimeter of a wooden floor, parquet blocks or not.
10mm at least.
