I've just removed some old thermoplastic tiles from a concrete floor. Underneath is black glue, some of which flakes off, the rest stuck firm. I want to lay stone tiles on the floor and I'm not sure if I really need to remove all the old glue? Thank you.

So long as the adhesive that remains is well stuck to the surface and doesn't make the floor uneven just leave it be.
