Alastair, do you mean how many flue terminals?

Droo:

1. are you doing your half of the stack or the whole stack?
2. is all the old lead to be removed and new ( 5 code ) lead fixed?
3. who has been on the roof to determine the cause of the leak?
4. to work safely, and preserve your roof tile, two roof ladders and a "platform" are required. No activity on the roof without a roof ladder.
5. A cut and lead burned back gutter, and stepped flashings and soakers with a two piece apron will run to £480 - £555. Anyone in business works for labour and materials, and overhead, and profit.

note: roof work is notorious for hidden extras and variations to the job.

Cannot give an estimate without knowing the size of the chimney!

Yeah, of course, but this is a ball park question so i gave a ball park answer.
eg. no matter the size of the stack no price would be right if it was in an unusual position with various difficulties of access and safety.

The price i gave is typical from my experience for such a property with all factors being equal.
