Leak behind bath

Hi All,

I've recently removed the panel from my bath to change it and noticed there is an area of crumbling plaster at the shower end of the bath where the screen attaches and the plaster is slightly damp behind the bath. Thankfully the floor doesn't look like it's affected.

It looks like the bath and screen need re-sealing but I'm wondering what I need to do about the plaster- does it all need to be removed and re-done?

Thanks for any advice

I have a few photos but can't upload them at the moment. Looks like there could be a problem with the site.

Finally got around to looking at this again! Hopefully the photos have uploaded this time. Thanks for any advice, much appreciated!

To do it right then yes, any compromised plaster should be removed and refilled/coated otherwise it will just start to crumble. You will need to get to the bottom of where the water is leeching in through though to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Thanks very much for your reply! Just coming back to this after sorting another damp issue!
