Having trouble with my L shaped bath which has a very heavy glass screen for the shower. Basically we had a leak so i took the screen off and put some seal at the back of the bath, i let it set and then tested it, no leak, I put the screen back on and it starts leaking at the back of the bath again, seems like its flexing with the weight of the glass and moving the seal.

Is there any harm in putting a batton up against the rim of the bath behind to stop it going down ? i've looked online and my bath just has supports underneath on some wooden planks at each end no middle support and no wooden bath frame, is that wrong ? i didn't fit the bath was already like this when we moved in.

thanks.

I always fit wooden supports and/or a frame to support the bath.

Yes i've had a look online and it seems its a good idea i will do the same, looks like someones bodged this in, before we moved into the house, kitchen ceiling is in bit of a mess is it worth putting a heater under the bath in case anything is still damp.
