, but gas leak spray is 'traditionally' used with natural gas so was wondering which gasses ir works with!!Just use washing up liquid it will find a leaking gas even air.
The times i've seen advice not to use washing up liquid because it will do the pipes/joints in, is it going overboard saying that?

No there's all sorts in it to dissolve grease on washing up so its corrosive should not be used on gas pipework........and always wash rinse yopur dishes in clean cold water to remove the washing up liquid !!!!
