Hi Guys,

Leak from bleed valve on radiator, tightening does not stop this leak. Rad is about 5 years old.

Can these be replaced? Assume good old PTFE wont be any good on this part?

Any thoughts very welcome.

Many thanks

is it the normal vent plug, chrome and pin in middle,is it the actual plug or pin leaking ,either turn both ends off get a bowl and towel, take it out and ptfe will do the job

If the bleeding screw is in a plug, just replace the whole plug. If the screw is fitted directly in the rad, like barlo and wickes, you are pretty much snookered

Managed to sort this out, thanks for the advice.

Thought this might amuse you lot.... house has a combi boiler, went to top up, found the filling loop which was still attached to boiler  then found that due to previous problems with the boiler losing pressure and needing to be topped up frequently, the plumber fitted a stop cock from the cold feed straight to the filling loop to make things easier for home owner
