Hi
Recently, during my trudge downstairs to get the morning cuppas I was surprised to find damp stair carpet underfoot. Looking up at the ceiling, I could see a 1m long strip of moisture going from the outside wall inwards.
Inspecting the loft, I can see that one of the room beams is wet and the moisture has dripped onto the loft boarding and thru to the ceiling rafters underneath.
I ran a hairdryer for 30mins to dry it out.
I suspect a damaged/moved roof tile but haven't got a clue how to resolve this. I'm pretty good with most DIY but roofing issues are new to me. Note that there is no roof lining, i.e. you can see the underneath of the slate tiles from inside the loft.
What's the best course of action?
Thanks in advance
