hi
i have a leak on a bottom entry designer radiator ive tried ptfe tape and had a few goes but we are still leaking has anyone got any cures thanks

putting a lot of ptfe tape on tried once with a couple of wraps and got
leaks so took back apart and wraped twenty or so rounds and still getting leaks and yess wrapping round so the ptfe tape nips in not threads out

If you put too much on it pushes back out. I used to use 6 or 7 wraps then a smear of jointing paste. I now use 6 turns of loctite 55 and a smear of jointing paste.

use ptfe, obv make sure it is wrapped the correct way, give it a good tighten but dont go mad, also put boss white on the ptfe, and if this does not work check the threads on the valve, they may be off if it was not fitted inline and then tightened
