Waste from bath goes into screed floor under bath, when emptying bath, water comes out from under tiles about 2m away, going to need to dig up floor and replace, this has been going on for quite some time so the screed is very damp.

Would it be a good idea to hire a dehumidifier for say a week, once faulty waste pipe replaced and tested re-screed (no option to surface mount). How long to wait before retiling floor, Thanks in advance.

You almost surely have 2 problems.
1. A leak.
2. Either a blockage or a faulty fall of the pipe. ( or both )

What puzzles me is how you can get a leak in a pipe in a bed of cement. Did the plumber have a big hat? Horse in stead of a van?
