One of our cast iron radiators has a leak underneath where the handle goes into the valve. The handle turns loosely but the handles on the other radiators are stiff. Is there anything I can do myself to fix this? Or at least stop it from leaking over the bank holiday. Thanks.

Thanks, but what kind of tool would I tighten it with? It only protrudes a mm or two below the plastic handle and feels circular.

Remove the control knob along with brass shroud , once removed you will see the leak between spindle/stuffing box nut , just nip up till tight.
