Leaking connection tap to mains

I have just fitted a new kitchen tap and can't get a seal between the flexi hose from the tap and the mains pipes. Both hot and cold are leaking. Help!

Give us a clue - what fittings have you used?

They are screw fittings but I have actually sorted it out. Just needed a bit of muscle! Thanks
