The external waste pipe from our bathroom sink is leaking. Pipe is 40mm solvent(unpainted), been there a good few years...

Just looks like it has cracked a little bit on one of the elbows...

So, Silicone? Acrylic? solvent cement? or LS-X?

It's hard to replace as literally only 30-40cm of it is visible from it coming out of the wall into the soil stack and there's 2 elbows. Also it's not accessible from inside as it's behind the bath.

try wrapping exposed leaking 40mm in Denso tape
no pressure in 40mm pipe so should do the job

greys better outside white breaks down with the weather.
if you push it you'll probably find it will just break.
so you more likely end up replacing for new.
