Hello

Yesterday I decided to clean the magnetic filter on my combi boiler which was fine, but sometime later I discovered water leaking from the bottom of the boiler.

I assume that I must have disturbed the joint where the rad return pipe connects to the boiler, since that's the only pipe that could have moved.

I tried tightening the joint, but it already seems fully tightened. Any suggestions please?

I've booked a service with my gas engineer, but she can't come for a week.

Thanks

Depends where it is leaking from, if it's the main return connection then sometimes backing the nut off half a turn then retightening can nip it up. Otherwise it's going to be a bucket and wait for you engineer and keep topping it up when required.
