Leaking gutter replacement?

Hi all

I have a leaking gutter due to a build up of moss blocking the gutter and down pipe which looks like the weight of the moss has loosened the joins. Water if coming over the top and out the far left as look at the gutter.

Do you think removing the moss from this section of the gutter and down pipe will alleviate this problem, or will I need to replace the whole section circled?

Many thanks for your help, Paul.

Remove and clean including rubbers.
I find that the rubber deteriorates so sometimes you need to replace the rubbers.

Good ladder and a ladder stay will be required

Poster # 2,
I'd be interested to see how you would raise and secure the "good" ladder & stay that you proposed the OP should use?
FWIW: there's also another difficulty with the gutter besides the possibility of failing seals.

I've fixed the mother in laws which is similar. I put the ladder on bricks on the side facing.
It's not very easy and on reflection I'm not sure a DIY person would not find it easy to do. I'm use to a ladder. There is a bit of reaching involved.
Probably best to get someone in.

Poster # 5,
There's no safe position for a ladder - and reaching is unsafe.
A tied-in scaff tower would work best for a safe job.
