Your typing is not too bad now you need to learn to read, go to the top, start clicking and reading, learn to help your self its that easy, did your first post not tell you anything

Here goes in seven easy steps

1.Turn the hot water off

2.Go downstairs

3.Take the tap apart

4.Remove the old washer

5.Fit the new one

6.Put the tap back together

7.Turn the water back on

There's much more to it - you might consider

Replacing O rings on tap spindle

Replace rubber washer at tap body thread

Cleaning limescale deposits from inside tap mechanism

Applying grease to thread of tap mechanism

Check condition of seating inside tap - the bit the washer presses against to stop the water getting out - you can buy re-seating kits, although I've never needed one yet

or replace the tap even!

I've changed tap washers and it's made little or no improvement until I then did the other things on the list!

I thought it was a wind up, or someone taking the p*ss, god help him !!!
you never told him which way to turn the spanner/ screwdriver he will be back in a bit after he has scrached his head a bit
