leaking mixer

hi , i have a mixer/shower tap, when hot tap is turned on ,under bath where pipe connects to hot tap there is a small leak ,but only when tap is turned on .Any ideas on why?

Probably the water is leaking from the top of the bath down onto the pipework.

Put some tissue behind the taps and see if this is the case.

Thanks, the leak is definitely coming from where the bottom of the plastic washer that is up against the bath underneath,as you turn the hot tap on you can see a trickle of water running down the outside of the bath.
