Leaking pipe under toilet

Hi there

Got up this morning to discover my bathroom floor flooded.
The lino is ruined as is the kitchen roof!!!

The water pipe connecting to the toilet was leaking.

I turned the water off and found the fibre washer had perished.

I have replaced the washer but it is still leaking. I have tried using 2 washers and tightening the nut different amounts but it is still leaking.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Are there any alternatives to fibre washers?

check the plastic thread.
they can be over tightened and split the plastic thread.
so may look like its coming from the nut.
