Radiator is leaking at the area where you would bleed the system. Do I need a new radiator or can i put sealant in it. Central heating system 10 years old.

Thanks

the bleed nipple or the actual thread on the nut? u can sometimes get away with ptfe just isolate the rad drain it by either the drain off if u have one fitted or placing a pan underneath the valve lossen the nut that comes off the tail, then when u have a pan full just take the cap end out n ptfe

if you go to the time and effort of draining why not just fit a new end plug
you can possibly get a freebe from your local plumb center or buy one
from B&Q use the ptfe on the threads of the new end plug
