Have just installed a replacement electric shower (Gainsborough 9.5E) as the old one was broken - all works fine but water is dripping out from the underneath of the unit - seems to be coming from the inlet pipe/shower joint. This is an automatic locking joint and says not to use composite sealant so how can I stop the dripping?

What kind o pipe is going in ie copper or plastic , may be if its plastic could be slightly oval is there an insert fitted ? could also be a rough end on the edge of the pipe and the o ring is snagged .maybe pipe is not inserted fully .Take out pipe and make sure its going fully home .some times a wee smear o lubricant will do no harm try vasaline. When you insert pipe give it a tug back to ensure its locked other than that maybe someone else has diff ideas son.

Make sure that the chrome plating has been removed on the first inch of the pipe i.e. the part of the pipe that goes into the shower.
