Hi, can anyone please advise?
I have just fitted a under tile shower tray and run the 50mm waste in solvent weld pipe. I have tee-d into it with 32mm waste for basin. I have had to use a strap boss and reducer into the plastic internal soil stack. On testing for leaks, the shower and basin pipework were fine but on flushing the toilet, it leaked from the very bottom of the strap which is just about touching the flange of the stack. The toilet entry is about 250mm above the strap. Is there any product that i can use to seal the joint as it is very awkward to get to and don't fancy trying to remove strap!

Many thanks in advance,

Gary.

if its touching the flange is the boss strap sitting flat on the stack pipe ?

You can try gap filling solvent cement but you may well have to start again.

LSX? self amalgamating tape? though not sure how long they last?

(I know this is an ancient thread, just adding to the library of knowledge on this brilliant site for those doing searches)
