Hi, we have a Grohe toilet system and every so often (about once very ten days or so) the toilet runs continuously after it has been flushed. Normally after about 3/4 attempts this stops but today despite repeated flushing it would not stop.

We live in a large apartment block, does anyone else have any similar experiences/solutions as they problem only seems to occur during the morning peak flushing time?

Any suggestions appreciated!

I don't think that it has anything to do with it being a peak flushing time, that's a new one on me though. Have heard of a peak in leccy use, like the adverts or gas use for the same reason but not flush but I guess there must be :)
This will simply be a flush valve problem and the valve is staying open for some reason. Time to get in there and have a look, or get someone in to, if that's too daunting

When I have come across this before it has simply been deposits on the seal that occasionally prevented it from re-sealing.

Solution was to turn off the water lift out the flush valve and clean it and the seating and all was well. If it is a flush valve most are a simple bayonet fixing so after turning off the water just twist to release. As with all plastic things don't break it by trying too hard - If it does not release easy it could be another type of fitting.
