I have a leak on a down stairs radiator coming from the pin on a TRV.
I have just recently had a combi boiler fitted and refilled with inhibitor.
What is the correct procedure with draining/refilling the system?, would I have to drain down the whole system to replace the TRV?
Is there any danger by adding more inhibitor?
The radiator does have a drain plug attached

Any help is appreciated

I would do a quick change over, close all rads at both ends, then shut both ends of the rad ,were trv is,then get bowl and old towels, undo the trv & go for it,2 min,if you dont panic, you can be done in no time, what trv is it,get the same type of nut

The one fitted must be 20 years old and is a 15mm angled type, not sure on the make, do I have to turn off the remaining 2 rads downstairs?

Close the valves on the heating connections under the boiler so the EXV does not maintain the pressure.

Use a rad bleed screw to release the remaining pressure on the rad in question after ALL the other rads have been turned off at both ends.

Note the position of the each lockshield valve and open to that position after changing the TRV otherwise you will have to rebalance.
