Appologies if this is not the correct forum.

I noticed this morning, on leaving for work, that the wastepipe from my kitchen has a leak at the point where it protrudes from the house. The leak is between the protruding pipe and nintety degree bend that directs it towards the outside drain. The leak must have been there for some time because it has left a white stain down the outside wall. My question is how do you go about removing this stain from the brickwork?

Many thanks for your suggestions.

Fix the leak and let it dry fully first. If you try to wash it off witha liquid you will probably wash it into the brickwork and it will come out again in crystals when it dries.

A fine wire brush will take it off but will scratch the bricks a bit as well, so let it dry first and only do it once.
