Hi - I went into my loft today and noticed lots of beads of water covering large areas of my roof lining. Some of these have dripped but there are no signs that these drips have caused any issues on the underside of the ceilings. My house was built in 1977.

As you know, there has been a lot of rain lately - is it normal for a roof to let in some water after prolonged rain? Or is it more likely to be a condensation issue?

My main concern of course is the roof timbers rotting.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Is there a healthy airflow in the loft, have the eves been packed solid with insulation and sealed the loft area from a natural airflow?
