First of all- i'm not sure whether this question falls under plumbing, or appliances, so please smack me on the nose if i am in the wrong place. This is hopefully a very quick, stupid question, but my landlady has informed me that i'm to try to fix it myself, rather than have her drive down from birmingham.
My broken washing machine was replaced about two weeks ago, with a secondhand hotpoint. At the time, the landlady cautioned me that the waste water pipe did not fit as tightly as the old one. And, consequently, there is now a leak where the grey waste water pipe meets the part connecting it to the u-bend beneath the sink, giving about a pint of water every cycle. So- have patience with a young man- how do i stop the leak!?
Thankyou.
