Been reading a book about him, as well as watching some youtube clips. What was your impression of the fella?
Not very good.....I could never do the accent.
Didn't like him.

i used to live near him......he took up with the bar maid from the pub...tragic tracey as she is known by the locals.....
he died 4 days after my mum .....
he was a jolly bloke who used the local spar shop, and was happy to chat to anyone
theres a statue of him in St Annes...
and to play the piano like he did takes a true genius!....

He didn;t get his "big break" until he was 36. Shows a lot of will power and resilience to keep on gong
