We are turning our former garage into a bedroom (log home). One corner of the room drops off (about 2" drop) The rest seems pretty level. No cracks, so we think it was just poorly poured originally. Can we use a self leveling compound in only that corner, feathering it out onto the rest of the floor, or do we need to use the compound over the entire floor?

yes you can but you need to be careful of what depth the compound you use can go to. Guess its going to take a few build ups to get there. Cant say what to use as this u.k forum and the compounds you use in the states is different to ours.
