I wish to level out the uneven floor in my conservatory.

There is a drain cover which will need to be left uncovered. I believe this is at the highest point on the existing floor.

Would a self-levelling compound be suitable?

If so, can anyone describe the general method of using this? (e.g. how viscous is the compound when mixed with water, how much spreading required etc)

Also, any suggestions if the drain cover is not at the highest point?
