Hello All
I made the mistake of getting a thermal camera last year and now I am in full eco mode.
I have a bay window with a small roof over it and you can see the heat is gushing out of the house in winter.
I’m thinking, I would like to lift some tiles and shove some insulation under there before next winter.
Is this as easy as it sounds?
I am guessing there will be a membrane under the tiles and thinking, lift a few, cut the membrane and put insulation in. Then, if the membrane is not long enough, to put back, buy some new and staple it over before putting the tiles back.
Thing is, how do I go about lifting the tiles, can I start anywhere or do I have to start where the lead flashing is at the top?
Side question, what is the green growth that we see? Is that due to heat escaping / condensation etc?
Thanks for any tips in advance.
