I am building a wardrobe with a sliding door. It will be around 60cm deep and 2.7m wide. There is a light nearby and I thought it may make sense to extend a secondary light (off the existing light) and situate it inside the wardrobe. Perhaps a tube of some type - fitted in the centre and it would spread the light throughout?

Can you please suggest a suitable light type and wattage for this situation?

thanks in advance

I fitted an osram led strip tube from screwfix.
Warm white.

I fitted it behind the door runner so you don’t look directly at the light.

UPDATE: I went with a small LED strip light from Screwfix. This provides ample light and is discreetly fitted.
