I am building a sliding door wardrobe in a bedroom. It’s 2.7m wide and will be made of 3x2s and lined with plasterboard. Which type of screws do you recommend for screwing studs to each other and the wall/floor?

thanks in advance.

The stud walls will be designed to take fitting of rails and shelves. The plasterboard is purely there for the finish

But with the plasterboard, I can finish it off in the same colour and look of the walls and it will also be cheaper than the MDF I assume?

Thanks @foxhole.
I wanted my internal dividers to also be built of 3x2 frames and hence lined with plasterboard. I feel this will be longer lasting once the rails and shelves etc are screwed to this solid structure. My doors are also slightly smaller than the overall opening of the wardrobe. This will mean that I have a slight return on both ends of the wardrobe. again, I was planning to build this out of 3x2's and line with plasterboard.

Whilst my wardrobe wont look anything like this but this demonstrates what I have in mind in terms of stud timbers lined with plasterboard and then finished and painted before the doors are fitted to the front.

Interested in your thoughts and also any recommendations on the screws I should use for the studwork please.

You will be loosing 3" for every section against 18mm mdf, fine if you dont need the space.Build will take a lot longer.

Yes, I did ponder over that but would like to take this approach. There's only 3 sections and I can live with losing some space internally.
On screws though, would you be able to suggest what I should use for the 3x2 frame please?

75mm and 100mm depending on which dimension you are screwing thru.

How about the type of screw please? I can see gold/silver screws, turbo gold, spax amongst others.
Appreciate your help.
