Hello,

I have an existing 1 gang 1 way light switch and its currently surface mounted. I want to sink it into the wall (lathe and plaster) using a drylining box.

The question I have is that the earth wire is currently connected to the terminal in the surface mounted box. With the drylining box there is no earth mount terminal. What do I do with the earth wire when I install the dry lining box?

Thanks

Andy,

So I just leave the earth in a terminal block on its own?

yes, unless the switch needs an earth
