Light Switch in a 35mm backbox...

Just found that a light switch up stairs is in a 35mm back box... The box that is there doesn't have an earth stud so whoever installed it just coiled the earth conductor up and left it non connected.

I'm not liking the thought of a wire coming out of one of the switch connections and making the box and face plate screws live

Do deep back boxes with earth attachment points exist or is there another method of earthing the box?

screwfix do them, im sure they are the same as the socket back boxes so should have the earth screw, but you can not see it in the photo of the deeper box.

If your box has 4 lugs, just use a vertical one to fix the earth wire to using a 3.5mm fixing screw & two washers.

Yup only one slidey one in there and thats one of the side ones
