Hi all,I'm in need of some help with wiring up a new light switch. It's a 4 switch one.
2 switches work 2 way for upstairs and downstairs hall lights and one switch for the hall way and one for outside light. Pictures attached.
Thanks

You wire it exactly the same.

Mark the wires before disconnecting.
I cannot see how the old switch is marked.

Is it?

COM
L1 L2

Be aware the switches are triangles; not top row and bottom row -

the old switches alternate the triangles; one up one way the next inverted.

the new switch has four triangles the same way up but the individual switches are obvious; ignore the LOOP terminal on the new switches

Unfortunately the new are an unusual configuration with -

COM 1way(L1)
.......2way(L2)

Thanks EFLImpudence.
I have marked the wires but replaced the swswitch as unsure where they would go in the new one.
I will undo in the morning and make a diagram.
Thanks for replying.

I have marked the switches with the markings on your new switches.

Switch 2 might confuse you as the wires are actually 'the wrong way round' although as it it only being used for one way switching, it doesn't matter.

I might have the '1WAYs' and '2WAYs' on each switch the wrong way round but this also doesn't matter.
If I have then the one way switches - 1 and 2 - will work upside down. If they do this then swap 1WAY and 2WAY.
You will not be able to tell on the two way switches - 3 and 4 - as they will vary depending on the corresponding other switches' position.
