I am working out where to fit the light switch in the kitchen extension.
The feed comes from above, vertically above the middle of a ring final back box. I want to put the switch about a metre to the left, just to the left of another ring final double back box.

Conduit runs between the existing boxes.

Is it ok to feed the cable through the back boxes or is it better to run it horizontally just above them.

Thanks for replies.

Through boxes is ok. Above them you run the risk of not being in safe zone created by the acessories. However watch out that conduit usually takes less cables than you expect, provide additional conduits if possible.
