Lighting Circuit From fused spur on Radial Mains Circuit?

I see from various posts about part P that there is an assumption that part P is all encompassing.

EVEN THE NICEIC don't acknowlwdge that part P ONLY APPLIES in England and Wales.

In England and Wales you can send somoene on a two week course and have them Part P certified.

In Scotland the new building regs require a trade or equivalent qualification to certify building work. They even check your NI number against their database to see if you are a spark, and what grade you are.

In E & W most work is covered by part P, whilst in Scotland only building warrant work (new builds, additions or specific alterations) require a building warrant.

When you sign a building warrant in Scotland you are stating compliance with the building regs (not just the wiring regs). And are answerable as such.

PS in reference to the halogen spots I would prefer Extra Low Voltage as they are easier to dim, better light output and the lamps are cheaper and last considerably longer.
