I have replace two spotlight strips today in my lounge. When i have switched them on they don't work, now the kitchen and bathroom lights don't work. I have checked the fuse board and nothing has tripped. I have also put the old light up and that doesn't work. Any ideas would be gratefully received

You have wired the replacement lights incorrectly - as a consequence - the lights downstream of the lounge are no longer getting any power.
You did make a note or take a photograph of how the original lights were wired didn't you?
If so post the note/picture and another showing how you have now wired the circuit.
If not you may need a multi-meter and know how to use to work out which conductor is which.

Thank you for your replies. The original light was wired up to an internally housed transformer so i didn't take a picture as it was different. Really baffled as to what i've done wrong, followed diagram to the letter.

I have just disconnected the light and the kitchen and bathroom still don't come on. Can anyone suggest why please?

The lights are wired from light to light. if you have removed one of them, the lights downstream of it won't work. If you can't follow a simple wiring diagram you should get an electrician to do the job properly.
