Lighting Spur

Hi chaps

I've taken a spur from the ring in my workshop to a FCU to power a single light (100W). I now want to add a security light (500W). I know that for sockets, you can't have a spur from a spur, but does this also apply to lighting circuits or should I run a new spur with separate FCU for this?
 
I believe it's generally okay to run two things radially off a fused connection unit, providing the fuse gives adequate protection (in this case a single 3amp fuse will).
 
Providing they are fed via the LOAD terminals, not the FEED ones....

There has been at least one post here from someone who did not know what "supply" and "load" meant...

But anyway - apart from the terminals in the fuse carrier being live even though the switch is off, it doesn't matter which way round you wire an FCU...
