Lights problem

I have developed a fault on my vectra, the side lights work ok but then when you switch to main beam nothing happens, but then full beam works with no problems

What year / model Vectra? First instinct would be to check there is voltage at on the outgoing terminal of the switch.

Its a 2001 ls ..........is the switch easy to come off as I have not got the manual

I take it you've tried the bulbs.

Yeah, that was my first thought ,then the fuse all ok,but at a loss now

looks like a dicky switch. You're going to have to check it out as Johnboy says.
Got a little circuit tester?
