Hi all,

I wondered if somebody may be able to offer a little advice please?

I've recently moved into a house which has a conservatory/extension(?) built on the back. The construction has full brick walls on either side, a UPVC French door with side lights running the full width at the front and several timber joists fixed to the external house wall, creating a sloped roof. I think that I could make this a nice extension to the dining room by plaster boarding the ceiling and opening the internal doorway through to the dining room. The roof currently is polycarbonate but looks horrendous. I contemplated sorting the internals and leaving the roof as it doesn't leak but it does look bad from the outside.

I'm now having a look around to see what lightweight roof options are available to see if I can improve the look of it from the outside before I start on the inside. This would just be a cheap, temporary fix until we can save up to build a full extension in a few years.

I've seen the Corotile roofing system and would like to know if anybody has an opinion on it or if somebody can suggest another product? Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks. That looks like the kind of thing I'm looking for and it doesn't look too expensive.

I had a quick look at the shingle type of roofing but It looked like it was only for garden sheds and the like. I hadn't seen this one though so I'll have a closer look. Thanks again.
