I'm going to render a small building that is partially stone and block.
It is slightly exposed so hydraulic lime seems right from what I have read.
But I'm unsure of the consistency, is it a problem to have quite a wet mix?
Also I saw on Utube that a primer coat of watery mortar was "hauled" or thrown on before the scratch coat-is this necessary?
I have done some rendering with hydrated lime, is hydraulic lime any different?
