Hi i have a vokera linea 24 combi boiler and had some work done last year, a shower put in, it work fine for a while and then started to play up. The plumber has since disappeared =( i am about to change a hot water tap and i have turned the boiler electricity off, shut the cold water inlet valve and put the filling loop valve in the off position but i left the mains supply on. i went to drain the taps and they are still fully pressured. My question is shouldn’t the hot taps have no water fed to them?
Kind regards
Darren

Yes, in theory if you turned off the right valve and if you have no cross over in any of your plumbing or appliances.

If you cannot find the problem yourself the you could call a plumber or just turn off the mains supply to the house while you do the work.
