I am facing up to the task of scraping the lining paper off of the top half of my bathroom. After 6 years in the place (and one coat of paint) the lining paper put up by the previous owners has begun to come away at the edges, right round the room.
If I scrape it all off, and it's 'normal' plaster underneath, I'm wondering if there's any need to repaper? I guess my point is a question: why do you need to put up lining paper?
I'm a novice btw so my opinions are probably all bullshit
