lining over lining paper

Hi,

Do I need to "paint" the first layer of paper with adhesive the night prior to applying the second layer of lining paper or can I just put the second layer without siezing the first layer?

The lining paper i am using over the first layer will be paste the wall lining paper.

No need to size the lining paper before papering over it.

why line the paper twice ?cross lining because of damaged walls and then vertically for finish ? if so thts a gd idea tht iv never thought off.
