Linked smoke system goes off

Our linked smoke system in our house was put in last November.

The other morning at about 5am it went off. We have no idea why this was and it soon went off by the time i got to the bottom of the house.

There was nothing which set it off.

Some of the back up batteries may be a bit low as about 2 of the detectors keep flashing green then red.

Would this set the system off ?

What make of alarm is it?
They should be cleaned about 4 times a year(once every 3 months or so), as dust and even static electricity is known to set them off.

So, a good way to remember -

every time you test the RCD, clean the smoke alarms.
