Hi all
I have a post in the window section regarding regs but think this following matter is one for the builders....
My windows have been put in by my brother in law. The house is a 1908 2 bedroom terraced. I don't think there are any lintels above the windows, i know for a fact that the kitchen one doesn't have one, as my brother in law told me.
Is this a problem? Got to get a building inspector round as i need a FENSA certificate for the windows - i'm concered he will pick up on this.

If he does, is it a costly job to get them put in?
Am i screwed??

Can anyone help? Soooo worried about this.
Have looked at the inner part of my kitchen, can see that the brickwork sags slightly.

Unless the window heads are visibly deforming it is very hard to prove there isnt lintels above windows and alot of older houses are built without them.

Thanks
I can see the inner part of my window frame sags slightly. But the 1st window and this replacement one rests on the outside row of bricks....if that makes sense.
Am just worried that i am going to have to get a lintel put in there and all the plastering will be wrecked etc.

Just want to sell my house!!
